Take Hwy. 290 west to Elgin and go north on Hwy.  95 to Holland. In Holland, go west on FM 2268 to Salado. FM 2268 intersects I-35 just South of Salado. Turn right on the access road and stay to your right as it forks within a short distance. This will put you on Main Street. As you come down the hill into town you will pass the Stagecoach Inn Restaurant on your left; the next right turn is Royal.

If you see the Stagecoach Inn Motel on your right you are on the access road and took the wrong fork. Just proceed to the Exxon station and turn right. Go to Main Street and turn right. Cross Salado Creek, and Royal is the first left turn. We are at 316 Royal.

Going south on I-35 exit on Hwy. 174 south from Burleson to Meridian. In Meridian go east on Hwy 6 to Valley Mills. Turn south on Hwy 317 in Valley Mills and continue through Crawford, McGregor, and Moody to Belton. In Belton re-join I-35 south to Salado. In Salado take exit 284, cross over the Interstate and go to Main St. and turn right. Cross Salado Creek, and Royal is the first left turn. We are at 316 Royal.

From Dallas...

The way is a little more roundabout from Dallas. Take Hwy 67 south to Cleburne, and there pick up Hwy 174 south and follow the directions for Ft. Worth travelers.

There are two routes from San Antonio that will take you through the countryside. The first is Hwy 281 north to either Burnet where you can take Hwy 29 east to Georgetown. In Georgetown take I-35 north to Salado where you will take exit 284. Turn right, go to Main street and turn right again. Cross Salado Creek, and Royal is the first left turn. We are at 316 Royal.

The other route is I-35 north to San Marcos. There take Hwy 21 north to Bastrop. In Bastrop go north on Hwy 95 to Holland. In Holland take FM 2268 to Salado.
